What We Do

Since 2014, we have successfully implemented nine youth-designed initiatives throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Chile. These initiatives are based around the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda, tackling issues identified by AYUDH members.

Our Mission

AYUDH Americas works closely with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our 20+ chapters across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Chile. Giving youth a voice for change, together we decide on issues to tackle and craft practical initiatives with locally-implemented projects that create profound ripples of change and impact society on a massive scale.

The AYUDH Approach

In order to be in service to our communities and to our planet, we believe in asking a series of questions in every action we set out to do.

1. What is our attitude?

Relying on the example of our inspiration, Amma, we strive to maintain a compassionate and accepting attitude throughout different initiatives.

2. What are our intentions?

In order for long-lasting relationships to be created, we must work with people, not simply for them. We also benefit from working with under-served communities, creating an environment of reciprocity.

3. What more can we do?

Service should never be finished. We recognize that there is always work to be done, and constantly seek ways, small and large, to create change in our communities.
